    – Downtown Line train service starts at 7:31am to facilitate Systems Integration Testing
    – Closure of Punggol East (via Damai) & Punggol West (via Sam Kee) LRT Service till 5:30pm for Maintenance Works
  • 21 May:
    – Downtown Line train service starts at 7:31am to facilitate Systems Integration Testing

New batch of Enviro500 buses delivered

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) placed orders for fifteen (15) more ADL Enviro500 MMC buses in late 2016, to expand the existing bus pool under the Bus Contracting Model (BCM). The second batch of Enviro500 MMC buses feature the same technical specifications as the initial 201 buses delivered in 2014. Although ADL had launched a Facelifted Enviro500 MMC in late 2015, the LTA did not opt for the newer bodywork design.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CSR Qingdao Sifang C151B

The Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CSR Qingdao Sifang C151B is an electric multiple unit (EMU) train operating on the North South Line (NSL) and East West Line (EWL). Slated to enter service in 2017, these were the fifth generation of rolling stock, purchased ahead of the opening of the EWL’s Tuas West Extension in 2017, and also intended for additional capacity on both lines.
