On 8 March 2016, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced that they will extend the operating hours of full-day bus lanes by 3 hours effective 21 March 2016.

In addition, LTA also announced that they will start a six-month trial on the bus priority box (better known as the Mandatory Give Way To Bus Scheme) for the following bus stops along Orchard Road:
- Bus Stop 09037, Opp Mandarin Orchard
- Bus Stop 09038, Midpoint Orchard
