EWL Rail Replacement Services (Apr & May 2017)

Temporary rail replacement services between Lakeside – Joo Koon and Tanah Merah – Changi Airport operated across 3 Friday nights in April 2017 to facilitate early closures. The shuttle services operated on 14 April 2017 & 21 April 2017 for Lakeside – Joo Koon, as well as 28 April 2017 for Tanah Merah – Changi Airport.

Lifting of Early Closure on 05 May 2017 for Tanah Merah – Changi Airport

On 04 May 2017, SMRT posted on their Official Facebook Page as well as their Twitter account that train service between Tanah Merah and Changi Airport will no longer close at 11pm on 05 May 2017 as planned. This is due to the required maintenance works being completed without necessitating a second early closure.

As a result, the Parallel Bus Service between Tanah Merah & Changi Airport (Direct / via Expo) will not operate on the night of 05 May 2017.
