Bus Services 5, 15, 58, 59, 87, 585 and 658 will be amended back to their original routing through Kaki Bukit Avenue 1 from Sunday, 24 April 2016.
The sector of Kaki Bukit Avenue 1, between Jalan Tenaga and Jalan Damai, had been closed since 28 August 2011 to facilitate Downtown Line 3 construction works. To be exact, Kaki Bukit MRT Station was built underneath the closed road sector. Bus services and general traffic flow was diverted through Jalan Tenaga, Bedok Reservoir Road and Jalan Damai. Jalan Tenaga and Jalan Damai were both widened by one lane on each bound to facilitate the traffic flow.
With the completion of the development works, the sector of Kaki Bukit Avenue 1 will be re-opened and the original bus stops will be reinstated.
The following bus stops will be removed:
- 72081: Opp Blk 668, Jalan Damai
- 72089: Blk 671A CP, Jalan Damai
The following bus stops will be relocated from Jalan Tenaga to Kaki Bukit Avenue 1
- 72041: Opp Blk 658, Jalan Tenaga (New Name: Blk 660A CP, Kaki Bukit Avenue 1)
- 72049: Blk 658, Jalan Tenaga (New Name: Opp Blk 660A CP, Kaki Bukit Avenue 1)
