Woodlands Bus Park

Woodlands Bus Park is a bus park under SMRT Buses. Located along North Coast Avenue, it serves as an additional parking area for SMRT’s Woodlands Bus Depot, and fully relies on Woodlands Depot for washing, refuelling and maintenance works.

General Information
Name Woodlands Bus Park / 兀兰巴士泊车场

Depot Information
BCM Route Package Woodlands Bus Package
Operator SMRT Buses
Type Bus park / open-air
Abbreviation WLBP / WPDEP
Associated with Woodlands Bus Depot

Woodlands Bus Park was built to supplement the limited parking space at Woodlands Depot, and to accommodate additional buses under the Bus Services Enhancement Programme (BSEP). Previously, buses were parked overnight at Sembawang, Woodlands and Bukit Panjang Bus Interchanges.

Completed in 2012, the bus park was handed over to SMRT on 21 January 2013 and formally began operations in February 2013. It is sometimes abbreviated as WLBP or WPDEP. All bus washing, refuelling, maintenance and other engineering works are carried out at Woodlands Bus Depot. As a result, SMRT managed to cut down on the extensive use of bus interchanges for overnight parking.

Contract RD248 for the Proposed Bus Park at Woodlands was awarded to Huationg Contractor Pte Ltd for S$3.8 million in June 2012.

Buses garaged at the depot are part of Woodlands Bus Package and Choa Chu Kang-Bukit Panjang Bus Package.

Woodlands Bus Park originally got 247 designated lots,4 lots take for containers,2 for car park and 2 for miscellaneous leaving 239 lots and 21 training bus use the lots also…At night almost 250 buses park there including spare buses for 167/167e/169/858/859/963/965/966/969
Come to think of it,LTA should built temp bus park before Woodlands Rd for Kranji thus eliminating to share parking at Bulim & Ulu Pandan until Gali Batu Depot is ready..260 lots better
