Brief History
Plans for the interchange were first mooted as part of the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA)’s 2013 Draft Masterplan. Located in the heart of Buangkok neighbourhood, the interchange will be part of a mixed-use development envisioned as an integrated community hub to meet the needs of some 20,000 residents in Buangkok.
The proposed mixed-use development will have an integrated community and transport hub with a bus interchange on the first storey, a hawker centre on the second storey and a community club that spans across three storeys, alongside childcare centres and retail shops. Located adjacent to Buangkok MRT Station, the development will also be a transport node for the residents of Buangkok.
As the focal point and an identity marker for the Buangkok neighbourhood, the URA prioritized thoughtfully-designed public spaces which were well integrated with transport and community uses. A tender for the development of the land parcel was launched on 28 December 2017, and was awarded to Siena Residential Development Pte. Ltd. and Siena Trustee Pte. Ltd. (as Trustee-Manager of Siena Commercial Trust) at a tender price of S$777.78 million on 16 August 2018.
The Interchange
Based on the floor plans provided as part of the Sengkang Grand Residence development, Buangkok Bus Interchange would feature end-on berths with 19 parking lots.
The main vehicle ingress/egress leads to Sengkang Central, while a backup ingress/egress at the opposite end of the interchange led to Compassvale Bow, via the loading/unloading bay of Sengkang Grand Mall.

Can have bus number svc 136 also transfer to Buangkok bus interchange from punggol bus interchange and Svc 136 if want handover back to sbstransit from Go Ahead Singapore by 2022
Leave 136 the route way it is, later students and residents will complain if 136 got shortened. It’s still useful for residents and students who uses 136 almost everyday. So leave 136 as AMK – Punggol.
Based on floorplans and schematics, it will be the first air-conditioned interchange with fully end-on berths.
Svc 62 Buangkok-Sims then Svc 62 if want handover back to Sbstransit from Go Ahead Singapore
hello, if you shorten Service 62 to Buangkok, later how will benefit residents from Punggol/Sengkang? Surely they will complain one. Service 62 leave it the way it is.
My guess for Serivce to terminate here is
Svc 62
Svc 101
New Svc 375
New Svc 376
Buangkok woods – hope to have nearer busstop … elderly need to walk so far
Along buangkok drive extension road and buangkok link ….
I think it’s redundant to have bus stops so close to another..Journer time will be added and more fuel cost meaning fare will keep on increase..Why are we so jelly and strawberry?Last time bus stops so far and bus frequency very low but we also live healthy and happy. Now demand here and there until Govt decide to increase everything..Cmon SG so small what do you expect? The distance of bus stops is already the best in South East Asia
