My humble guess is that 167 & 980 will receive full day double deckers.Too bad TT only received 7 bendy buses else they can request to deploy 1 each for 859A & B.

Hope so, must convince passengers to take a bus that even though is long, you can still sit comfortable throughout the ride

If commuters decide time savings is more important and prefer to take the TEL, that is their choice. And should that happens, it will not make sense to maintain double decks on 167 & 980, when they can be better utilised on other services like 169, 859, 969.

To be honest,825 should be under Seletar better. Why so cheem Mandai BC have to go YCK?Might as well take 850E make more sense. All the crap and nonsense came from our dear bus planners.

Anyway as one forumer spotted 1 BYD C6 without logo meaning there’s some settlement between LTA & BYD SG to further lease the midibuses for Mandai.

Now the question uppermost in my mind is what TTS will use to operate 825. If not the electric minibuses that SMRT presently uses, what will TTS be using?

Is it also possible that the route will be cancelled upon inauguration of the third tranche?

I wonder if there is any provision for increasing the fleet from the current (four minibuses). Though unlikely, assuming TT takes all of them, and wants to deploy a fifth bus, what would it use?

Wonder whether they have tested a full length (~12m) bus on route 825 … like what happened to SBS 42 after the Darts were retired.

Currently LTA leased 4 midibuses for 825 that is 3 for service with one on standby. The deployment is flexi also so indirectly all buses is spare. The duty is 2AM/PM & 1S1.

What if the current fleet needs to be expanded? What I am asking about is if in future they need more buses than the current four total? Will they put a full 12m bus to supplement the fleet as needed?

Why not tower transit just operate NR1 and NR2 instead of calling them N1 and N2

Anyway, NR1 and NR2 will not be reactivated until much later. Now is heightened alert V3.

I don’t understand why 825 is in Sembawang rather than Seletar?Just swap with 850E make more sense.
Unless in future they want to extend 825 to Sembawang perhaps?

That’s a definite duplication of services 859 and 860. The MRT also goes to Sembawang. Should introduce from Lentor.

      First, 825 use Bus-Plus minibus.

Second, 825, like the peers (NR1 & NR2), they are still under the negotiated contract and a wait-and-see attitude.

Seletar Bus Package can include 800, 803, 804, 805, 806, 807, 811, 812, 851, 852 and 860 because these are the routes that die die, need bendy buses and the need of Yishun ITH.

Whereas; all remaining services are under Sembawang-Yishun.

simply, cos if you realise, SMRT now operate BBP and CCK, partial WLD and 61 only. No point to have 825 in the pnly north sector also.
