they could have made service 971 a full-day route serving from bukit panjang int looping at cecil street instead of amending 972M

Wonder why they don’t amend 170 to Marina Ctr via Newton & Orchard? The route already duplicates with 67 & 960 from Rochor all the way up to Kranji – which is most of the route already.

If 170 needs to amend, they need to tell Aduan Anda (the Malaysian authorities) of the amendment. LTA and SBS Transit does not want to amend, additionally cannot touch Queen St Terminal as no services will stop there (except the VTLs) if 170 is amended. Should edit 170 via 972M until loop and than

If to the more extreme cases, why not like like rapid KL bus. All feeder buses from respective towns to mrt stations and no trunk services. Then LTA can save lots of money and resources. Then orchard bugis shenton way to have free bus services like GoKL buses? Isn’t it better? As all confirmed will take trains to anywhere in Singapore.

Could have just convert 971 into full day start from Gali Batu-Shenton Way Ter and remove 972M.

What a joke instead of having 972M. Could have just had 700 n instead jus extend it to cover 971 sector at bukit panjang.

They could have renumbered 700 to 972M, and amended the 700 routing to the new 972M routing.

Instead, the Pending/Petir residents got 971 changes which was then withdrawn when 971E could have been withdrawn entirely.

Sounds extremely inefficient planning to me IMO ever since the 700 withdrawal.
