Marine Terrace MRT Station (TE27) is an underground station located along the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) 4. It is built underneath Marine Parade Road, between the junctions of Marine Crescent / Telok Kurau Road and Marine Terrace, bringing rail connectivity to schools and residential developments around the area.
The station is located in the vicinity of St. Patrick’s School, CHIJ Katong Convent, Ngee Ann Primary School, Marine Parade Town Council, Marine Parade Neighbourhood Police Centre, Block 50A Market and Hawker Centre, and many other private houses, condominiums, and HDB residential estates.
The station was originally targeted for completion and opening in Year 2023. However, it was delayed till 2024 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Marine Terrace station has two platforms in an island platform arrangement.
Underground Bicycle Parking
An underground bicycle parking space will be provided as part of Marine Terrace MRT Station. The dedicated lift entrance to the facility is located outside Block 51.
Civil Defence shelter
Marine Terrace station is one of seven stations along the Thomson-East Coast Line (East Coast stretch) designated as Civil Defence (CD) shelters, which will be activated in times of national emergency. Apart from reinforced construction, the stations are designed and equipped with facilities to ensure the shelter environment is tolerable for all shelterees during shelter occupation. These facilities include protective blast doors, decontamination facilities, ventilation systems, power and water supply systems and a dry toilet system.
The other CD shelters are Tanjong Rhu, Marine Parade, Siglap, Bedok South, Bayshore and Sungei Bedok stations.
Exits
Marine Terrace MRT station has six exits leading to ground level. More details will be confirmed closer to the opening of the station.
A dedicated exit/entrance to the underground bicycle parking facility with lifts is located near Block 51.

Construction Trivia
Contract T308 for the Construction of Marine Terrace Station and Tunnels for Thomson-East Coast Line was awarded to Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. – Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. Joint Venture (JV) at a contract sum of S$360.6 million in January 2016.
Both Ssangyong Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. and Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. are established contractors in Korea who had completed infrastructure projects around the world. Ssangyong worked on the construction of DTL2’s Rochor and Little India stations. Hyundai worked on DTL3’s MacPherson station and had previously delivered several rail projects including the construction of several North East Line (NEL) stations and the NEL depot.
