New Sungei Kadut and Brickland MRT Stations

Two new MRT stations, Brickland and Sungei Kadut stations, will be built along the North South Line. These stations are expected to be completed in the mid-2030s.

Brickland station, located between Choa Chu Kang and Bukit Gombak stations, will serve residents living in Keat Hong, Bukit Batok West,
Pavilion Park, and Tengah town’s Brickland district.

Sungei Kadut station, located between Kranji and Yew Tee stations, will serve future developments in the industrial area. In addition, the Downtown Line will be extended from its original terminal at Bukit Panjang to serve Sungei Kadut station, interchanging with the North South Line.

These are part of the Land Transport Master Plan 2040’s key goals of achieving of 20-minute towns and a 45-minute city for all by 2040.

Currently, these two areas are served by public buses. Residents in the Brickland area rely on recently-introduced SMRT Bus Service 991 to access MRT Stations and interchanges at Bukit Batok and Choa Chu Kang. People working in the Sungei Kadut Industrial Estate have relied on SMRT Bus Service 925, which is the only service to connect Sungei Kadut to Choa Chu Kang, Kranji, Marsiling and Woodlands MRT Stations.

Stay tuned for more updates from the LTMP 2040!
