Bus Service 258M provides a direct connection from housing estates around Jurong West to amenities around Boon Lay Place, such as Boon Lay Place Market and Food Village, Boon Lay Shopping Centre, and Boon Lay Community Club. It is a route variant of Bus Service 258, plying the same route, but with an extension to loop at Boon Lay Place instead of Boon Lay MRT.
The route operates only in the mornings of Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays. When Service 258M is in operation, its parent Service 258 does not operate.

It is good for residents along jurong West St 64 to have 258m. But it is even better it could ply on weekday also. Thanks
Basically like the case with 181 & 181M, just merge the routes together. Extend 258 instead of whatever this is
could just extend to full day service instead of making a supplementary service. such a waste
I think instead of this 258M. It would have been better to have 258 extended to boon lay place daily. Would be more beneficial.
It’s probably to attempt to increase ridership on 258. I don’t see any justification to launch this new bus route, by the way.
It’s for residents around Pioneer MRT to have a direct bus to do their groceries at Boon Lay Market.
The other alternatives are:
99 (only on Street 93, and bit too crowded)
502 (express fares)
240 (must go Boon Lay, not direct)
Why can’t SMRT launch a new feeder instead?
