It is a route variant of Bus Service 258, plying the same route, but with an extension to loop at Boon Lay Place instead of Boon Lay MRT.

The route operates only in the mornings of Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays. When Service 258M is in operation, its parent Service 258 does not operate.
