Night bus services made a quiet return to Clarke Quay this weekend, following a year-long absence of dedicated late-night public transport options serving the nightlife district.
On 5 December 2025, the CQ Night Shuttle was launched, marking the reintroduction of night bus connectivity in Clarke Quay since the withdrawal of the NightRider and Nite Owl services in 2022, and brief stints offered by A&S Transit’s Night Bus Services (January–June 2023), and RushOwl’s on-demand NightOwl service (June–November 2024).
The bus service is offered by CapitaLand, which owns and manages CQ @ Clarke Quay.
Service Description
The shuttle operates on Fridays and Saturdays, offering three routes:
- A “Town Shuttle” that loops between Clarke Quay and several central city locations from about 11:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. hourly. Its stops include: Somerset MRT, ION Orchard, Ascott Orchard, Plaza Singapura, and Raffles City, using a 23-seater bus
- A “Home Shuttle” departing at 4:00 a.m., offering direct one-way rides from Clarke Quay to both Tampines and Jurong East, using a 45-seater bus
The service is free, and aims to provide late-night transport alternatives for nightlife-goers, particularly when regular public transport (MRT, normal bus services) has ceased operations for the night.

Operations and Observations
During the early hours of 7 December 2025 (the first Saturday night of service) at 4:00am, the westbound trip towards Jurong recorded no passengers, while the eastbound trip towards Tampines carried four passengers.
* Although official publicity materials indicate that the 4 am Home Shuttles pick up passengers at Tan Thye Place, ground observations confirm that boarding took place instead at the Clarke Quay bus stop (Bus Stop 04211) along River Valley Road.
