Launch of New Bus Service 861 and Short Trip Service 861A

From Sunday, 15 September 2024, new Tower Transit Bus Service 861 from Sembawang and looping at Khatib MRT Station will be launched under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP).
This service enhances connectivity for new and upcoming developments in Yishun East with Khatib MRT Station.
Short Trip Service 861A will also operate daily at 23:30 from Sembawang Int, terminating at Khatib MRT Station after the last full trip of Service 861 has departed.

861 very coincidental. First in BSEP is 860, first in BCEP is 861. Both under 86x. Last service introduced before BCEP is 871, now 861. Both are 8×1 services
