On 24 October 2025, the Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) called a tender for the Provision of Consultancy Services for Brani West and Keppel Link People Mover System Conceptual Planning Feasibility Study (Reference No. SDC/22.8.1/25) on the government procurement platform GeBIZ.
The consultancy service lays the groundwork for future feasibility studies and conceptual design of a new people mover system that would serve the future developments on Pulau Brani.
Greater Sentosa Master Plan
The proposed people mover system forms part of the broader Greater Sentosa Master Plan, formerly known as the Sentosa–Brani Master Plan, which was first announced in September 2019. The master plan envisions the redevelopment of Pulau Brani into a new leisure and tourism destination, complementing Sentosa’s existing attractions.
Under the plan, Pulau Brani will feature several themed zones, including the Vibrant Cluster, Island Heart, and Waterfront. Early artists’ impressions released during the announcement show an elevated People Mover System station located within the Island Heart zone, served by light rail vehicles.
At present, Pulau Brani and Keppel are occupied by the Brani Container Terminal and Keppel Container Terminal, respectively. Port operations at the two terminals are scheduled to be fully relocated to the Tuas Port by 2027. The vacated sites are expected to be progressively redeveloped thereafter.

Build a similar system like the RTS. Can ferry more people across.
All along, Sentosa only uses Monorail, Bus, Trolley Bus and Cable Car. So almost certainly they will build another monorail line.
The current Sentosa Express monorail line is actually not possible to extend or branch out or whatsoever. So lets just leave it alone.
Can always build another monorail line to complement the current Sentosa Express monorail line.
And this new monorail line can let it connect to the MRT network via CC30 Keppel station, in the same method as how the current Sentosa Express monorail line is connected to the MRT network via CC29 Harbourfront station.
Either as a standalone monorail station, or built within a future integrated development project.
Can envision this new monorail line to interchange perpendicularly with the current Sentosa Express monorail line at Beach station. At the southern end of the station would be possible, and enable the new monorail line to run at the same elevation as the current Sentosa Express monorail line.
The new monorail line would generally run in the east-west direction, complementing the current Sentosa Express monorail line generally running in the north-south direction.
And considering that time they started building the Sentosa Express monorail line in 2004 and opened the Sentosa Express monorail line in early 2007, and considering the Port Authority will fully move out of Brani Island by 2027, the earliest possible construction period of the new monorail line would be 2027 to 2030.
I think if TTS long enough established in SG they might get the contract to operate this.
I wrote to Sentosa that it should interchange with one of the Circle Stage 6 stations for better connectivity.
Artist Impression train resembles a Stadler Tango tram
ah yes
Don’t they call them “streetcars” in the West?
Only in anglophone North America, Europe calls them ‘trams’
