Service 874 provides direct connectivity for residents in Tengah to Choa Chu Kang MRT/Bus Interchange, via Bukit Batok Rd, Brickland Rd, and Choa Chu Kang West (via Ave 6, 1, 3, 4). Apart from serving the new Tengah housing estate, the route also enhances connectivity to new and upcoming HDB BTO developments in Keat Hong and Bricklands.
This service is introduced under the LTA’s Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP), a ~$900 million government scheme that funds the purchase of new buses, infrastructural improvements, and operating costs of new bus services between 2024–2032.
