The Zhongtong LCK6126EVGS (marketed as the Zhongtong N12D) is a battery-electric, double-deck city bus manufactured by Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd. (中通客车).
Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) ordered 100 units in 2025, as part of a larger order for 660 electric buses. The buses are configured with three doors and two staircases, and are assigned the registration numbers SG7210C – SG7309C. They are expected to enter passenger service at the end of 2026.
The procurement forms part of Singapore’s broader transition towards an electric public bus fleet, with LTA targeting half of the public bus fleet to be electric by 2030.
Zhongtong N12D model background
Zhongtong launched the N12D double-deck bus on 11 October 2024 at a “Global Premiere” event held in Singapore. Designed with Singapore’s operational requirements in mind, Zhongtong touts the bus’s accessibility, long range, energy-saving features, and onboard technologies.
The bus was subsequently exhibited at the LTA-UITP Singapore International Transport Congress & Exhibition (SITCE) in November 2024. The same bus was later supplied to LTA revenue service trials and registered as SG4014Y. It operated with Tower Transit from October 2025 to October 2026.
An updated design of the bus was showcased at Busworld Europe 2025, touted as a “Europe version” and featuring some design changes.
LTA Tender & Production Batch
In December 2025, Zhongtong (represented by its local dealer Cycle & Carriage Automotive Pte. Ltd.) was awarded a contract worth S$57.8 million to supply 100 double-deck electric buses under Contract PT602F. The contract formed part of the LTA’s wider procurement of 660 electric buses under Contract PT602, which also involved Chinese manufacturers BYD, CRRC, and Yutong.
The double-deck buses supplied under PT602F were identified as Zhongtong LCK6126EVGS units.
