Service 983M primarily connects residential areas around Choa Chu Kang Avenue 5 and Keat Hong—areas currently served by Service 983—to educational institutions along Teck Whye Crescent. This route operates only on school term weekdays, with two unidirectional trips operating in the morning.
Service 983M does not start at Choa Chu Kang Int; it instead starts midway along Service 983’s route at Choa Chu Kang Ave 5. The service also terminates at a new bus stop along Teck Whye Crescent, used only for alighting activities.
Educational institutions served by Service 983M at Teck Whye Crescent are:
- Teck Whye Pri Sch
- Jurong Pioneer Junior College
- Choa Chu Kang Sec Sch

- From Choa Chu Kang Ave 5 (Opp Blk 486)
Weekdays (School Term): 06:40 & 07:00
If we could add another trip probably at 06:50 that will be better. Currently I feel that making 2 trips with an interval of 20 mins can cause overcrowding for the latter
oh yeah and also it doesn’t serve an MRT/LRT station so I guess you can only benefit from it if you already stay near your school ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
this is so weird… a new bus stop purely for alighting and only for two bus trips??? with no reverse bus trips?? why even bother honestly
so far our new bus routes for 2024
1) start at end at nondescript bus stops
2) don’t go very far
3) have awful frequencies
so that’s promising.
Here’s my suggestions implement of 2 Services
