Part of the Thomson-East Coast Line concourse was opened to the public on 28 February 2021 to connect the new Exits 2 & 3 to the Circle Line station concourse. (Main Article: New Exits & TEL Concourse open at Caldecott MRT Station, published March 2021).

In the interim period before the TEL opened on 28 Aug 2021, ticketing machines and other facilities at TEL Caldecott Station were not in use. Faregates were installed, but are opened for free passage. The pedestrian link between TEL and CCL concourses was converted into a paid link from 28 Aug 2021.
