Chencharu Bus Interchange is a future bus interchange located at Chencharu, serving a new housing area within Yishun town for which plans were mentioned by Minister for National Development Mr Desmond Lee during the Committee of Supply debate on 5 March 2024.
The masterplan for Chencharu, which first announced this upcoming Bus Interchange, was unveiled by HDB on 12 June 2024.
Location
The future Chencharu bus interchange will be located within a mixed-use commercial and residential development with a hawker centre. This mixed-use development would be bounded by Chencharu Link, a bus-only corridor to the west and Yishun Walk to the south.

Back to Bus Interchanges and Terminals
It could be for Seletar bus package afterall with 851,851e & 852 shortened here. All Yishun feeders will be handover to Sembawang-Yishun Package and there might be a new bus terminal near Simpang there in future.
Beside new feeders,I think some buses from Yishun will be amended to this new Interchange.Bus package will be Sembawang-Yishun and will be based at the future Simpang Bus Depot.Woodlands Bus Package will be utilise Mandai Depot.
There should be a new LRT Line known as Yishun LRT that will serve this station.
Also services 39, 670, 803, 808(New), 852 & 856 should amend to Chencharu Bus Interchange.
Service Feeder 808 will be a feeder loop service operated by Tower transit passing from Chencharu ITH and looping at Yishun AVenue 8 passing via Yishun Avenue 1/8, Yishun Street 42(Loop)
The Yishun LRT will be operated by SMRT Trains starting from Sembawang Park and Looping at Chencharu Station passing via Simpang & Yishun Areas
Services 39, 171, 670, 803, 808(New), 852 & 856 should serve Chencharu Bus Interchange
And there should also Be a new MRT Line known as Holland-Mandai Line starting at Stadium and terminating at Punggol Coast via Bukit Batok.
Service 808 could be launched maybe in end-2024 or Q1 2025 to start at Khatib MRT (Yishun Avenue 2) and loop at Yishun Avenue 8 passing via Yishun Ring Road, Sembawang Road & Yishun Avenue 1
Doubt 670 will amend to Bus Interchange. City Direct bus services normally begin at residential areas. Anyways, 670 starts all the way at Yishun Ave 7, making it start from Chencharu will cut off the whole Yishun Central route.

Also, did u reference 808 from my 11 Dec 2023 idea from Yishun ITH page?
Finally new Yishun Interchange! Yishun been overcrowded for too long
This place is approximately 352 metres to 579 metres (straight line distance) from the nearest MRT station, which is Khatib MRT station. It is nowhere near TEL.
The land area approximately 33215m2.
Meanwhile, the plot of land opposite Khatib MRT station, where the open space basket ball court is currently at, is approximately 14287m2.
An open-air bus interchange to take reference would be Sembawang Bus Interchange. That one the plot of land is approximately 15288m2.
Proportionate a bit, can have an open-air bus interchange at the plot of land directly opposite Khatib MRT station, that has 0.9 times of Sembawang Bus Interchange capacity.
That plot of land directly opposite Khatib MRT station would be more strategic to have a new bus interchange to complement Yishun Bus Interchange to serve that area.
If the plans are still subject to changes, they should consider having an open-air bus interchange opposite Khatib MRT station, instead of having an air-conditioned bus interchange integrated with a shopping mall and residential apartments, located approximately 352 to 579 metres away from Khatib MRT station.
Hello Jun Wei. The plot of land opposite Khatib MRT is meant for various event uses, such as PasarMalam or sometimes funerals. It is also zoned for HDB use (per a sign put there). This is also why Khatib Polyclinic wasn’t built there. So putting the interchange there prevents entertainment uses for Khatib residents.
More likely that new bus services heading to Chencharu will stop outside Khatib MRT before heading to the interchange.
When Jurong East Int closed in 2020, they extended the capacity of the bus stop outside the old bus interchange from a regular bus stop to a long one (because it went from 1 service – 990, to just about most services heading to JE or JTH)
So prob LTA will look into expanding the bus stops outside Khatib MRT or introducing alternate bus bays for the same bus stop like they did at Marine Parade MRT. Plus there’s multiple buses running on Yishun Avenue 2 so need extra capacity outside the stations
