Sengkang West Shuttle Bus Services A & B are Rail Replacement Services for the Sengkang LRT (West Loop), each operating as a one-way service during weekday morning & evening peak hours respectively.
Both shuttle services are operated in tandem with the full closure of the Sengkang LRT West Inner Loop, which is suspended from 19 April to 18 October 2026. During this period, train service on the West Outer Loop (Sengkang → Renjong → Cheng Lim → Sengkang) will continue to operate normally.

Background
To help manage the impact of the SKLRT West Inner Loop closure, dedicated shuttle bus services will operate during weekday peak hours to supplement remaining LRT capacity and minimise additional travel time for commuters.
Shuttle Bus Service A operates from 6.00 am to 10.00 am, running one-way from Fernvale → Layar → Tongkang → Renjong → Sengkang, covering the southern half of the West Loop.
Shuttle Bus Service B operates from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm, running one-way from Sengkang → Cheng Lim → Farmway → Kupang → Thanggam, covering the northern half of the West Loop.
Both services run at a frequency of 3 to 5 minutes.
To give commuters time to familiarise themselves with the new arrangements before the LRT closure begins, both shuttle services began operations on Monday, 13 April 2026 — a week ahead of the West Inner Loop suspension on 19 April 2026.

Shuttle A Special Departures
From mid-April, four additional special departures of Shuttle A operate from Thanggam at 6.45 am, 6.55 am, 7.05 am, and 7.15 am, before continuing to Fernvale and then along the regular Shuttle A route. These departures also make an extra stop along Fernvale Road (Blk 436A), to serve students attending Sengkang Green Primary School.
These special departures were not detailed within LTA’s original announcements, but were arranged following feedback from residents and publicly announced by Member of Parliament (MP) Ng Chee Meng on Facebook on 21 April 2026, who mentioned that he requested the arrangement on behalf of his constituents.
In a subsequent update, MP Ng Chee Meng announced that from Monday, 11 May 2026, all four special morning departures would be extended to start from Kupang instead of Thanggam, with no changes to the Thanggam departure times. The estimated departure times from Kupang are 6.42 am, 6.52 am, 7.02 am, and 7.12 am.

Bus Fares:
Charges regular distance fare based on the distance between MRT Stations by rail. Train, bus and hybrid concession passes are accepted, and distance fare rules apply.
Travel Smart Journeys:
Commuters who tap into the Sengkang West Shuttle Bus Service A on weekday mornings before or after peak hours (before 7.30 am & between 9.00 am – 9.45 am) will be eligible for Travel Smart Journeys rewards, which will provide equivalent cost savings as commuters who tap into Sengkang West LRT stations under the free morning off-peak rail travel scheme (100% of journey segment fare on SW Shuttle A in points).
