4 Day Closure on East-West Line (Tanah Merah – Expo) for Track Works

The East-West Line (EWL) will be closed between Tanah Merah–Expo from Saturday, 14 March 2026 to Monday, 16 March 2026. This is to disconnect the reception tracks linking the EWL with Changi Depot, following the operationalisation of the new East Coast Integrated Depot (ECID) in December 2025.

During this period, a shuttle train service will operate between Expo and Changi Airport. Train services between Tuas Link and Pasir Ris stations will continue to operate normally.

Initially planned as a 4-day closure from 14 (Saturday) to 17 March 2026 (Tuesday), LTA announced on 16 March 2026 that normal EWL train services would resume on Tuesday, 17 March 2026, 1 day ahead of schedule.
