Formula 1 2015 Bus Diversions

Diversions as outlined in this section are based off last year’s arrangements, LTA’s Road Access Plans and information released by Public Transport Operators. This document is accurate to the best of our ability and we welcome readers to highlight any mistakes.

Bus route diversions and train service extensions for the 
2015 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX
16 September – 21 September 2015

The 2015 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX returns to Singapore from 18 to 20 September 2015. Similar to past years, road closure will take place over six days, the largest series of road closures every year.

Route diversions:

Affected roads will be closed from 12:01am, 16 September (Wednesday) to facilitate the set up of race infrastructure.  When the race is completed, affected roads will reopen progressively and all roads will be fully accessible by 5:30am, 22 September (Tuesday) onwards.

Generally, alighting is allowed at any bus stop along the diversion route. However, boarding may be subject to the driver’s decision.

Midnight Special Services during the F1 period:

As with previous years, SBS Transit will operate four midnight bus services – EW1, EW5, EW27 and NS16 – to complement the extension of train operating hours and better serve residents in the heartlands. These services will operate in addition to the Nite Owl services that operate on Friday and Saturday evenings.

These services will operate from Pasir Ris, Bedok, Boon Lay and Ang Mo Kio bus interchanges respectively, charging a flat fare of $1.50 per ride.
