Trans Iskandar Route BET1 connects the Johor Bahru City Centre (JB Sentral) with the town of Kulai, passing through Danga Bay, Tampoi, Skudai and Senai. Much of its route plies along the main road leading from JB Sentral to Kulai. Comprising Jalan Skudai, Lebuhraya Senai and Jalan Besar, these roads make up part of the Malaysia Federal Route 1,
The route is identical to Route 7B which Causeway Link also operates, and buses can occasionally be seen carrying two sets of route destination plates. Maju 229 and S&S 7, operated by other JB bus operators, ply exactly the same routing. Similarly, Causeway Link 777B also plies between JB Sentral and Kulai.
Originally conceived as a bus rapid transit system, Trans Iskandar bus services are local and semi-express bus routes serving the greater Iskandar Malaysia region. Known as Bas Ekspres Transit in Malay, this gives rise to their common prefix: BET or BeXTRA.
Fleet:
BET1 commonly utilizes Hino RK and SKSbus SA12-300 buses.
