Jurong Island Bus Services

Jurong Island is an artificial island off the south coast of Jurong Port, created through land reclamation and the joining up of seven smaller islands. Today, it is home to many petrochemical industries, and access is limited to staff and visitors with valid security passes.

The boarding point for all Jurong Island Bus Services is at Bus Stop 28061, J Gateway, along Boon Lay Way. The bus stop is next to Westgate Shopping Centre. Dedicated queue line markings are painted on the floor to allow smooth boarding and passenger flow.

Previously, Jurong Island Bus Services used to start from Jurong East Temporary Bus Interchange, before being moved out to Boon Lay Way in August 2015 due to a lack of parking lots for the increasing number of public bus services at Jurong East.

    HI There,

I just want to express my dismay with the driver of Bus 715 (PA 9907E) this morning around (0730hrs). I would normally alight at bus stop in front of Rotary Engineering office as my work place is just across the road (Linde). Likewise, I would normally hit the stop button before the bus turn left back to Jurong Island Highway from Seraya Avenue to give ample time to bus driver to prepare to stop at the said bus stop. However, the driver did not and have no intention to stop as the bus approaches Rotary bus stop. Though I was surprised, I hit the stop button once again to remind the driver but just gave me the hand gesture and continue the journey. I was already standing next to rear door by then. When I approached him to ask why he did not stop, he even accused me of not hitting the button ahead of time and told me to alight next to Linde bus stop. By then I lost 10-15 minutes of my time.

Prior to whatever transpired, the bus driver even stop in front of Denka (coming from Shell bus stop) to wait for one passenger. Remember the same driver stopped his bus at no designated bus stop. Just to add up to my disappointment is the fact that despite the fact that nobody press the stop button before the PCS bus stop, the driver automatically stop the bus as passengers need to alight.

I need some explanation why I had this unfair treatment from your bus driver.

    Prior to whatever transpired

Your bloody bus driver for the 1615hrs on 4/4/18 slot sped off at bus stop 15 even though I waited there for 45mins! What the shit is this? Just because that bus stop is hidden at a bend, so assume no one? Now I am still stuck in Jurong Island because of your idiot!

Service 718 morning hrs from Jurong Island to Jurong East within
0730 to 0830 – drivers always giving reason of mechanical or fuel problem with the bus and depart pax at bus stops within Jurong Island or Jurong Island checkpoint and ask pax to take the subsequent bus. Why is this happening frequently?
