Stadium MRT Station (CC6) is an underground station along the Circle Line (CCL). Situated within the Singapore Sports Hub, it serves many different sports infrastructure and lifestyle destinations such as Kallang Wave Mall, Leisure Park Kallang and Singapore Indoor Stadium. It is also the terminus of Marina Bay shuttle train services operating during the off-peak hours.
The station is aptly named after the adjacent National Stadium, which is the centrepiece of the Singapore Sports Hub and used for major events. It is also the terminating station for the Marina Bay shuttle, where Circle Line train services operate as a shuttle service to Marina Bay.
The station was designed by renowed local architectural firm WOHA, whose design was selected through the Marina Line Architectural Design Competition, an open design competition organised jointly by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore and the Singapore Institute of Architects. Conceived as a massive underground sculpture, the station contains a large indoor space from surface to platform level that gives the public a moment of spatial grandeur. A continuous central skylight creates a dramatic naturally-lit interior, and journeying into the station is like descending into a giant shimmering grotto that draws crowds to its interior.

Stadium station has two platforms in an island platform arrangement.
During the off-peak hours, Circle Line train services to Marina Bay are operated as a shuttle service between Stadium and Marina Bay stations. Every alternate train arriving at Platform A will terminate at this station, then perform a turnaround and stop at Platform B before continuing its journey towards Marina Bay. A third middle track known as a cripple siding beyond the station facilitates the turnaround of trains.
Concourse
The station concourses are located at street level, situated at both ends of the station. To accommodate surge crowds from the Singapore Indoor Stadium, Kallang Theatre and the National Stadium, the station has been designed with an at-grade, open-air concourse and entrance plaza. The open-air concourse prevents crushing and panic situations that could occur with crowds squeezing into confined, below-ground spaces. The ground-level entrance plaza also creates opportunities for the surrounding developments, currently inward-looking, to create and enhance external, ground-level activities.
Art in Transit: “The Perfect Moment” by Roy Zhang
The Perfect Moment is a series of images of the human form in a surreal dreamscape. These stylized silhouettes, located strategically at each end of the station, present the beauty and simplicity of the human body during sporting movement. Each human figure is woven together to create a series of synergic images depicting the moment where beauty, grace and energy are harmonized and captured in flight, frozen in time. Viewed collectively, these individual sporting movements are made to appear like a choreographed modern dance recital.
