Recently this service had been getting extremely terrible with the Merc OC500LE bus deployments >:( Really hope that TTS Mandai side can start to renew all their fleets. If only Volvo B5LH can be deployed permanently on 980 instead that will be great.
Actually, for 980, it is possible to introduce an express variant 980e on weekdays (no operation on weekends), given that there is a ramp from Upper Thomson Road after the Springleaf Stn, turning left continuing into SLE, then using the ramp SLE towards CTE, and exiting CTE towards Kampong Java Road, offering faster connectivity from Sembawang and Upper Thomson to amenities like KK Womens’ and Children’s Hosp, Little India and Bencoolen, continuing towards Beach Rd and Kallang Rd and finally terminating at Lorong 1 Geylang Bus Terminal, cutting travel times from the North to the Central areas of Little India and Bugis.
