Route Amendment for Service 140 to Towner & McNair Rd

From Sunday, 7 September 2025, SBS Transit Bus Service 140 will be amended to ply Towner Rd, McNair Rd and Balestier Rd towards St. Wilfred Rd, serving 5 additional bus stops (inclusive of 3 new bus stops).
In addition, the daily first bus timing from Lorong 1 Geylang Ter will be brought forward from 6am to 5:50am.
This amendment enhances connectivity to Kallang Polyclinic & Boon Keng MRT Station.

any new bus service can be introduced from whampoa, mcnair, towner road to punggol and the sit there? This is would be another option who opt for bus instead of mrt, and may also help ease the crowd.
Good amendment for 140. I hope 141 can be extended to eunos bus int via sims ave, geylang east Central and paya laber mrt. Even though it mirrors 80 it will be helpful for many passengers.
Much awaited amendment since those bus stops have been ready for a long time.
This is probably the best the residents residing inside McNair and Towner estates can ever get when it comes to bus service, owing to the numerous one-way turns and cul-de-sac kind of roads the area has. Going to Boon Keng MRT will be a breeze since the bus stops at Exit A, however the return journey involves walking to Exit C and B/S 60191 which is quite a distance; one would probably just opt to walk home straight from Exit A instead since the savings in terms of time and effort will be minimal.
Ah was wondering when those bus stops would come into use. they’ve been sitting there for a few months now
