can extend 107 and 107M to punggol coast and also make 107e as a peak hour express bus to shenton way and loop at suntec respectively. this will solve north east to city area problems as what LTA did to 97 and 97e.
If you have nothing wise to talk about, then LLST, stop KPKBing and be grateful to the LTA for this move. LTA wants you to be grateful to them for their policy of “Always Make Transfers, Never Take Direct Bus” as it is a cash cow for them.
If you KPKB about being required to make transfers, LTA will give you one magic word: Transfer and they do so without any remorse because they want you to be grateful for SG’s public transport and not KPKB any further. If you KPKB about no seats, LTA will say: Wait for next/subsequent bus or take MRT even if you still have to stand on the next bus, subsequent bus or MRT. Better yet, if you can afford, take P2P.
this the worst extension I have seen so far 97/e to tengah will be inconvenient for passengers want to alight at jurong east int to fix this issue they should have a M suffix so commuters going to Jurong east int will be not confused, adding to that point tengah residents like to complain of lack of bus service seriously… can’t they just wait patiently cause the rest of area is still under construction…..
this is good move la… tengah residents need quick connectivity to CBD and labrador park area.
you’re obviously not a tengah resident when you say things like “rest of area is still under construction”, hello already alot of people living there OK?
then are you able to tell everyone who dun need to travel, and do you like transferring buses, tengah is really lacking despite not staying there, u dun understand their frustrations but I do, you know how many years Tengah is already? and they not easy have a 674 that goes out of tengah to cbd, and that only operates during peak hours. if you are not a tengah residents, then u dun criticise them for complaining.
Not Needed. 97 still serves Jurong East Station. People will use that instead of the interchange. Upon extension, It is also the only bus route in tengah to reach the city center.
If you are salty about the extension then better come up with something better or you just suck it up.
better to extend 868E, turn it into all all stops version and renumber 878 instead. current 868E will become 878E.
Them skipping jurong east int is not a big loss, there is still the Jurong Gateway Road bus stops that 160/A also uses
why would 97 post-extension need to stop at Jurong East interchange??? it already passes through the bus stops outside
Wise move
good stuff
