[Defunct] IKEA Alexandra Free Shuttle Bus Services

IKEA Alexandra is one of two IKEA outlets in Singapore. It is located along Alexandra Road, and is a popular shopping destination for furniture, appliances and home accessories.

There are 3 different shuttle bus routes originating from Buona Vista, Redhilland Tiong Bahru MRT Stations, connecting shoppers to and from IKEA Alexandra. All routes only run on Weekends and Public Holidays at 30-minute frequencies, which are scheduled such that a shuttle bus leaves IKEA Alexandra every 10 minutes.

The service was last contracted to Leisure Frontier as at Jan 2023.

All Shuttle Services have ceased operations on 1 September 2024.

Operating History

It is uncertain when shuttle bus services to IKEA Alexandra were first offered, but web archives of the IKEA website place this as early as 2004, when weekend shuttle services were offered to various heartland MRT stations.

Sorry I didn’t mean to comment about all the shuttle bus drivers in general. But intending to comment about this particular driver who shouted at me just for asking when is the last service from IKEA to MRT.

The shuttle bus drivers are very rude. They should be taught some customer service skills. Don’t know how to talk also. They upset the people who are going for shopping in a good mood.
