In terms of geography, I honestly do not like the concept of Forest Hill district and Brickland district. Each of them are intended to be a satellite township on their own.
Other than them located next to the main road (Brickland Road), this sector is rather 水洩不通 (water not flowing directly).
May not be good for living.
Anyway, Tengah is actually already largely completed. It’s only this big.
There are other residential towns in Singapore. My advise would be to look elsewhere instead of considering Tengah.
Sorry, I forgot something: Tengah has industrial area planned, at the north-west part of the town, due to the close proximity to the airbase and the cemetery.
And considering Bulim took so long to develop, and even until now still not yet fully completed,
Tengah’s industrial area may take very long, if ever.
And somemore Cross Island Line going to have Maju station near Ngee Ann Poly.
And somemore Tengah will have the most young children in the western part of Singapore in the future.
Am personally speculating something:
Tengah industrial area, may have low commercial take up rate. So most probably, part of that area will become a new polytechnic campus – like Temasek Polytechnic in Tampines.
Never mind about the noise. Humans already know how to adjust the environment to make the place conducive for learning. (Eg: spam noise absorber)
And somemore Tengah quite near to Jurong-Pioneer JC. It would be natural to have a Polytechnic in Tengah or in close proximity to Tengah.
After all, Tengah is the government’s showcase town. So this is really a possibility.
So, on that note, please feel free to live and raise next generation in Tengah.
I’m speculating that they will eventually relocate Ngee Ann Poly to Tengah. Also to allow Maju area to have major redevelopment to justify CRL station.
Potentially everything that a Tengah children ever need in the first 20 to 30 years of their life will be in Tengah or within reach from Jurong Region Line.
So please rest assured to choose Tengah.
station will most likely be called Forest Hill. Anyways, why not just renumber the station codes for Tengah onwards (e.g Tengah will be JS4, Hong Kah will be JS5 etc) and this can be JS3
LTA say is JS2A
I think is because this station wasn’t in the original blueprints for JRL.
But bananasolid on YouTube says it’s “Forest Place.” So, what to believe? “Forest Hill” or “Forest Place”?
