Mandai Heartlands Express

Going to the Singapore Zoo, Bird Paradise or River Safari? Hop on the Mandai Heartlands Express, an affordable express bus service that operates between town centres and the popular tourist attractions located in Mandai.

Formerly known as Mandai Express, the Mandai Heartlands Express service operates routes to Bedok, Sengkang and Tampines. These bus services provide additional connectivity to Mandai on school holiday weekends (Sat/Sun) and on Public Holidays, on top of regular public bus services (138, 927) and tourist buses.

As of April 2024, these routes have been withdrawn.

Ticketing

The fare for each trip on the Mandai Heartlands Express is $3 for Adults and $1 for children ages 3 to 12. Children below 3 years old ride for free.

Tickets can be purchased online 2 weeks before each service availability date, and passengers are encouraged to buy bus tickets in advance to secure their seats. Tickets sold online are non-refundable, and passengers should be at the pick-up point 10 minutes before the stipulated departure time, as empty seats on the bus will be released for onsite bookings 5 minutes before departure.

For passengers without prior reservations, tickets can also be purchased on board the buses using EZ-Link or NETS FlashPay card, subject to seat availability.

    Can i know if the Mandai Express bus to the zoo / bird paradise is operational from Bedok?
    Is it operational during normal weekends?

    ComfortDelGro Bus took over the Mandai-Khatib MRT shuttle contract using Volvo B9Ls transferred from NUS services.

    The Mandai Express from Khatib is back in service. Took it yesterday to and from Night Safari(15 Aug 2020). On Thursdays to Sundays and eve of and on Public Holidays, the service runs until 10pm. https://imgur.com/uFaCbU0
    Payment is by Ezlink or Nets Flashpay only. The same card can be used multiple times. Witnessed a few passengers trying to pay with their bank cards (simplygo) but it couldn’t work with the card reader on the bus.
