The West Inner Loop of the Sengkang LRT Line will be closed from 19 April 2026 to 18 October 2026. This is to facilitate the track works needed to integrate the existing LRT line with the expanded Sengkang LRT Depot.

Sengkang LRT Depot is being expanded from 3.5 hectares currently to 11.1 hectares, increasing stabling capacity and creating more space for maintenance facilities. Depot construction work began in 2022 and is slated for completion in 2027.

No train service will be available on the West Inner Loop (i.e. Sengkang → Cheng Lim → Renjong → Sengkang) on the affected closure dates.
Train service on the West Outer Loop (i.e. Sengkang → Renjong → Cheng Lim → Sengkang) will still be available & fully operated with 2-car trains during the closure period.
Rail Replacement Service
Dedicated shuttle bus services will be provided during weekday peak hours to augment the capacity of LRT services and reduce added travel time for commuters.
To aid commuter familiarisation, shuttle services will begin on 13 April 2026, one week before the LRT service adjustment begins.

Commuters who tap into the Shuttle Bus Service A on weekday mornings before or after peak hours (before 7.30 am & between 9.00 am – 9.45 am) will be eligible for Travel Smart Journeys rewards, which will provide equivalent cost savings as commuters who tap into SPLRT stations under the free morning off-peak rail travel scheme.
