As part of the Bukit Panjang LRT Overhaul, the existing Operations Control Centre (OCC) at the Ten Mile Junction LRT Depot, which has been in operation since 1999, was slated for upgrading.
Earlier in August 2023, two weekends of early closures were needed to facilitate testing and commissioning of the interim OCC facility. A full-day closure took place on Sunday, 1 October 2023, to facilitate the migration of the BPLRT OCC to the interim OCC.
The latest full-day closure, on Sunday, 25 January 2026, will relocate the BPLRT’s OCC from the interim facility back to the refurbished OCC.
