Service 103M served both residential developments along Yio Chu Kang Road / Jln Kayu and various military and aviation industries within Seletar West Camp and Seletar Airport along its route. The route operated as alternate trips to its parent service at selected timings daily, catering to demand from military personnel in Seletar West Camp. Similar to its parent service, it connected to Serangoon Town Centre, as well as the Jalan Kayu roundabout (Seletar Camp G), where passengers could transfer to other bus routes plying the TPE/SLE corridor.
The route variant was first introduced as Service 103W under Phase 3 of the North East Line (NEL) bus rationalisation, replacing the defunct Feeder Service 379. As part of the renumbering exercise for route variants, it was re-numbered as Service 103M from Monday, 28 January 2008.
Following the redevelopment of Seletar West Camp into the upcoming Seletar Aerospace Park, its route was integrated with its parent service 103, which had its route extended to loop at the former looping point of Service 103M. The last day of operation was on Saturday, 12 February 2011.
Fare: Charged distance-related fares for trunk services. Refer to Bus Fares.
Fleet: Service 103M’s fleet comprised of Volvo B10M Mark III and Volvo B10M Mark IV buses from Service 103 during its operational hours.
