City Direct Bus Service 677, operated by SBS Transit, is a weekday peak-hour City Direct service connecting Sengkang to the Central Business District (CBD). It is introduced under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP).
City Direct 677 commenced operations on Thursday, 2 January 2025.

Service 677 offers residents of Sengkang improved connectivity to the Central Business District, including Marina Bay Sands and Suntec City, providing a direct travel alternative to commuters who typically rely on the rail network and feeder buses. As a City Direct service, it only operates on weekdays.
Starting from Punggol Road (Opp Blk 110) in the morning, the service calls at stops along Sengkang East Way, Anchorvale Rd, Sengkang East Ave, Punggol Rd and Buangkok Dr. It then plies express from Buangkok Dr to Anson Road via the KPE and MCE. The route is similar in the reverse direction, plying express from Shenton Way to Buangkok Dr.
If the eves of Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Chinese New Year fall on a weekday, the Evening Peak departures will be brought forward to the afternoon. Revised departure times will be provided by the operator closer to the affected date.
Routing
Service 677 is the third City Direct service to be introduced in Sengkang, after Services 654 and 671. Three pairs of bus stops are shared with City Direct 671—along Anchorvale Rd (65801 – Blk 309D / 65809 – Anchor Green Pr Sch), Sengkang East Ave (67211 – Ranggung Stn Exit A / 67219 – Ranggung Stn Exit B), and Punggol Rd (65011 – Opp The Rivervale / 65019 – The Rivervale).
Although both services 671 and 677 serve areas near Tongkang and Ranggung, they take different routes to the CBD: Service 671 heads west via Fernvale and the CTE, while Service 677 travels east via the KPE, offering a faster route for residents near Ranggung.
This service was introduced under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP), a scheme launched in 2024 that facilitated the introduction of more bus services, including peak-hour City Direct services.
