Service 84W connects residential areas in Northshore and Punggol North with key amenities in Punggol Town Centre, Punggol Point, and the new Punggol Digital District, which includes the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) Punggol Campus.

On 23 June 2024, Service 84 was divided into two variants: 84G (Green, for the clockwise route) and 84W (White, for the anti-clockwise route). Service 84W operates anti-clockwise via New Punggol Road, Northshore Drive (Samudera LRT), Punggol Way and Sentul Crescent, towards Punggol Temporary Interchange, while Service 84G operates in the reverse direction.

Both services share two pairs of bus stops along Punggol Central and Punggol Road.

Double-deck buses are deployed on this service from 17 August 2024.

History:

• 2024 (23 Jun): Amended from Service 84 to serve an additional stretch of New Punggol Road as a bidirectional trunk service from Punggol to New Punggol Road (Loop), serving as the anti-clockwise route via New Punggol Road.
