[Cancelled] Extension of Bus Service 101 to Buangkok MRT

A planned extension of Bus Service 101 to serve Buangkok MRT station was due to take place from 11 October 2020.
However, this extension was cancelled on 2 October 2020 and replaced with Bus Service 114.
Error finding information for Service 101n
2 bus stops along Buangkok Link would be skipped. Commuters along Buangkok Link would have to access Bus Service 101 along Buangkok Crescent, or take alternative Bus Service 329 instead.

Cancellation of Route Extension
Initially announced in September 2020, the planned route extension of Bus Service 101 was due to take place on 11 October 2020.
However, the route extension was cancelled by the Land Transport Authority on 2 October 2020, following feedback from commuters and Grassroots Adviser Ms Ng Ling Ling. In particular, concerned was raised regarding the skipping of two bus stops along Buangkok Link as part of the amendment.
In lieu of Service 101’s planned route extension, Bus Service 114 would be introduced from Buangkok MRT Station to loop at Buangkok Crescent instead, from 25 October 2020.

Maybe u turn near the Fire station?Most probably add 1 double decker and 1 duty only.
Fire Station and MRT Station far apart. Should have temporarily terminate at Compassvale Interchange. Then when Buangkok ITH is ready, cut-short to Buangkok
and of course it will terminate at buangkok ITH in the future
2 stops will be abandoned…
Kinda wasted since these bus stops have their own bus bays and permanent covered linkways to the adjacent HDB blocks
What kind of urban planning is this?

Similar to 974 which starts and ends at Bukit Panjang MRT…
Looks like 101 is fated to end at Buangkok ITH once its completed
Buangkok Interchange will come around 2022/2023 so its two/three years of this service routing.
I believe Buangkok will be similar to YCK. Maybe 110 might be amended to start from there.
374 can start from Sengkang, while 80 can be extended to Punggol. Provided GA takes Hougang contract as well.
Another candidate to start from Buangkok would be 153. Possibly another new route.
