5 MAN A22 Buses joined Go-Ahead Singapore’s fleet and started operations this week on Monday, 9 September 2019. These buses were leased by Go-Ahead Singapore to support an increase in its fleet with the commencement of new Express Bus Service 43e on the same day.
Sporting shiny rims with new yellow wheel-nut indicators, these buses were sighted operating on Punggol Feeder Bus Services 381, 382G, 382W and Services 43e and 84 on the first day. Registered as SG1840Z – SG1844M, The buses are from the latest batch of buses procured by the Land Transport Authority. Latest commuter-friendly features are available on these buses, which are equipped with USB Charging Ports and Passenger Information Display System.
Since the start of Go-Ahead’s operations, 5 new bus services (12e, 43e, 68, 381Â and 661) were added, while existing services have been improved with additional trips and new short trip services. While Go-Ahead Singapore’s fleet of buses is mostly made up of Volvo B9TL and Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses, the company received 15 MAN A95 and 3 MAN A22 buses last year in tandem with new developments and growth in ridership. On 25 March 2019, another 9 Euro 6 MAN A22 and MAN A95 buses began operations together with the commencement of Short Trip Services 34B & 85A on the same day.

Well now, GASG is down to 6 E6 A22s, 11 E5 A95s (B3), 6 E6 A95 (B1) and SG1720L, but gained 5 E5 A22s (B2) and 23 E6 A95s (3 door).
I hope GASG is being given a new route or two and an enhancement for an existing service, so that it could take back the E6 A22s it returned to storage (1840 – 1842, 1844) as well as take in additional units of each variant (E5 B2 & B3, extra E6 A22s).
GA is now down to just 6 units of Euro 6 A95s after transferring SG6106C to SBST and returned SG6105E back to storage.
