Early Closure of East West Line (November 2018)

Shorter operating hours along the East West Line (EWL) between Pioneer and Tuas Link will take place on Fridays & Saturdays in November 2018 (Except Friday 30 Nov 2018) to facilitate additional engineering hours to continue works to renew the power supply system as well as conduct other maintenance and asset renewal works. This will involve early closures along the EWL.

Affected MRT Stations

• EW28 Pioneer
• EW29 Joo Koon
• EW30 Gul Circle
• EW31 Tuas Crescent
• EW32 Tuas West Road
• EW33 Tuas Link

As a result, train services on the East West Line between EW27 Boon Lay and EW33 Tuas Link will be unavailable during the periods of closure. Train services between Pasir Ris and Boon Lay, and Tanah Merah – Changi Airport, will not be affected.

Affected Hours & Dates

• On days of Early Closure (2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24 November 2018), last trains will depart at 11:00 pm on the affected stretch.

Shuttle Bus Service

A Shuttle Bus Service will be provided throughout the duration of the early closure. Fares for the Shuttle Bus Service are equivalent to the distance travelled by train.

Extended Bus Operating Hours

On days of Early Closure, the last buses for residential bus services would be extended to allow commuters to connect from the Shuttle Bus Services.
