Woodleigh Bus Interchange is a future Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) located at Bidadari, serving residential areas around Bidadari, Joo Seng and Potong Pasir.
The interchange is the first air-conditioned underground bus interchange to be built beneath public housing flats. It forms part of the HDB Woodleigh Village mixed-use development, offering 330 Build-to-Order (BTO) flats, a hawker centre, retail shops and other community amenities.
Plans for the interchange were confirmed in September 2014, and the interchange was then initially expected to be ready by 2019. Following construction delays, the interchange is expected to be completed by end-2024, and an opening date has yet to be announced.

Rail connections are offered via Woodleigh MRT Station along the North East Line, allowing for convenient transfers between bus services at the rail network.
Interchange Layout
Located at Basement 2 of Woodleigh Village, it is the first underground air-conditioned bus interchange below Housing Board Flats in Singapore.
An indicative layout plan of Woodleigh Bus Interchange reveals a bus park with 18 bus lots—15 rigid bus lots and 3 articulated bus lots. Buses enter and exit the interchange via a combined entrance/exit leading to Bidadari Park Drive.
The passenger concourse features three sawtooth boarding berths and a linear alighting berth with space for 2 buses. In provisioning for articulated bus operations, one boarding berth and one alighting berth are designed to accommodate 18-metre-long buses.
Underground passageways connect the interchange concourse with both The Woodleigh Mall and Woodleigh MRT Station.

Brief History:
Plans for Woodleigh Bus Interchange were first revealed in a Straits Times article back in September 2014, referencing design briefs issued by the Housing & Development Board (HDB). The interchange would be built underneath HDB flats, as part of an integrated transport, commercial and residential project that will form the estate’s town centre. The interchange was then slated for completion in 2019.
The interchange would be sited within the HDB Woodleigh Village, an integrated development comprising 3 residential blocks totalling 330 residential units, a hawker centre, (Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre), a childcare centre, a Residents’ Committee, and other future community amenities. The interchange site is bordered by Upper Serangoon Road to the west; Woodleigh Link to the north; Bidadari Park Drive to the east; and Heritage Walk (former Upper Aljunied Road) to the south.
In February 2024, a Straits Times article reported that the interchange was expected to be completed in end-2024, representing a delay of five years; this was revised to a three-year delay following a clarification from the HDB, which stated that the project was due for completion in 2021 based on the construction contract that was eventually awarded. HDB attributed the delays to “significant engineering challenges” and the COVID-19 pandemic, due to the design complexity of integrating the bus interchange, hawker centre and MRT station, and extensive work needed to skirt or divert around underground utilities.
Renaming:
The interchange was previously called Bidadari Bus Interchange, as referenced within the Land Transport Master Plan 2040 and exit directory signages at Woodleigh MRT station (as of May 2023).
The interchange was renamed to Woodleigh ITH sometime in late 2023. This is referenced in the LTA travel guide for the HDB Alkaff Breeze BTO project (Link), and the launch poster for Bus Service 146 released in January 2024.

Back to Bus Interchanges and Terminals
Since Bidadari has been touted as the “new Bishan”, I can foresee the same thing in terms of public transport here. Keep in bind, before the boom of Bishan-based routes in the 2000s, Bishan only had 5 routes operating from there (53, 54, 55, 56, and 410G/W). Bidadari will likely only house 3-4 routes when it opens. Someone also mentioned the possibility of Bidadari absorbing routes from Sims Place Terminal, so I am factoring that with my predictions.
64 – A solid lock-on. Traveling via Upper Serangoon Road will shorten the route and allow BCs to return to the ITH sooner if nature calls, since right now, it’s practically a 2.5 hour drive, not counting traffic conditions.
81 – A solid lock-on. Same reason as 64, since 81’s current route is about 34km without stopping. Converting it bi-directional will be a relief for BCs.
82 – Maybe. A part of me feels this route can be extended to Toa Payoh, since there is not much of a bus connection between the Northeast estates of Sengkang and Punggol to the North-South Line. In exchange, one route currently terminating at Toa Payoh can be shortened to Bidadari instead, with 82 absorbing the lost sectors. Most likely candidates to be shortened to Bidadari are 28 or 155.
134 – Very likely. If 64 is amended to Bidadari, it only makes sense for 134 to absorb the lost sectors of 64 between Sims Place and MacPherson Road for its own extension to Bidadari.
137 – Not likely. Even if Sims Place Terminal shuts down, there is still a need for a bus link from Sims Place estate to the nearest MRT station, which is Aljunied. 137 will likely be converted to loop at Sims Place, where the soon-to-be-former Sims Place Terminal is located.
142 – Likely, but I have doubts. The main issue is the roundabout right outside St. Andrew’s Village, along Potong Pasir Avenue 1. There is quite a hard turn, and this may be a problem if the plan is to have 142 call at Potong Pasir in both directions (using the red white desto system) while being extended to Bidadari.
My predicted routes to terminate at Bidadari are the following: 64, 81, 82, 134 and 142. 82’s spot may be replaced by 28 or 155 if the “extend 82 to Toa Payoh” suggestion gets approved (very unlikely, to be honest).
will there be possible?
53- Bidadari(ITH) to Changi Airport(loop)
59 – Pasir Ris to Bidadari
61- Bukit Batok to Bidadari(ITH)
81- Tampines to Bidadari(ITH)
82- Punggol to Bidadari (ITH)
103 – Bidadari(ITH) to Yishun
116 – Hougang Central to Bidadari(ITH)
The amended 506 already connected Bukit Batok to Bidadari(ITH), as it passes by Woodleigh & Bukit Batok MRT stations, so for me, there is no need for 61 to go to Bidadari(ITH).
Service route 63M should withdraw from the area and ammendment on service 104 on the area bidadari interchange to eunos interchange will be better for more for the residents can be used
Emm likely lta issues also can’t get any further from the suggestions
Since we are talking about the controversy of Express 506 terminating point to Serangoon Interchange. Are we thinking that one service from Serangoon Interchange will start from this ITH? I got the feeling that it is Service 105 instead of Service 100.
So IMO, here are the bus services that will terminate at this ITH:
Service 71: Yio Chu Kang Interchange – Bidadari ITH
Service 105: Bidadari ITH – Jurong East Interchange
Service 107: Bidadari ITH – Shenton Way Terminal/Marina Centre (Loop)
Service 142: Toa Payoh Interchange – Bidadari ITH (Loop)
I think this ITH will not have any Feeder Service.
11 bus service for 18 parking lots ITH?You are candidate to work for LTA.Maybe some of Bishan service will start here.At most i think only 6-7 service
So Here are some of My Opinions about this ITH :
Maybe a Few Feeders Serving Residents at Bartley will help. Maybe a Few Trunks & 1 Express Bus that’s brings residents living at Bidadari to the Central District will help as well so that a lot of people do not have to take 107 to go to CBD. For Bus Service 81 , Maybe Possible For it’s Route to amend to Bidadari but hers’s the Thing. When You Take a Look at Service 81’s Route , It kind of stretches a long Route Along Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) & Tampines Expressway (TPE). So For Instance you are a New Resident at Bidadari and your Work area is at Tampines , There is No Point in Taking Service 81 Because You Have to Pass By so Many Places & and Possibly it will take you more than 45 Minutes. Might as well You Walk All The Way to Bartley Rd and Take Service 129 which is Much Faster as it is Plying The Bartley Rd & Bartley Rd East Sector but still the Walking distance will affect you quite A lot. So The Best Will Be Have a Service that goes from Bidadari to Tampines via Serangoon , Woodleigh ; To Serve Residents there as well , Bartley , Bartley Rd East & Tampines. For Service 53/M , Maybe 53M will be Amended Because it is an Airport Service and A lot of People are Taking This Service. As The Crowd Usually Starts at Serangoon Stn Exit C/Blk 201 , Maybe Service 53M could be Amended to Bidadari ITH and Ply its Way to Changi Airport or Service 53M can Start at Where The Crowd would Start and Loop at Changi Airport while Service 53 can Just Relax and Ply it’s Route From Bidadari to Changi Airport as a Loop Service. There is a Few Reasons Why This Could Happen. 1st Reason is Because Bidadari is near Serangoon. 2nd Reason is Because as The Crowd starts at Serangoon Stn Exit C/Blk 201 likewise , it makes sense that Service 53 should start at Bidadari so That The Route is Shorter and People can get to their Destination Faster. For Service 71 , I Feel Like There is no Point Because Service 71 Ply’s its Route from Yio Chu Kang to Bishan St 11. But , a New Service , 71M , could actually Be a Helping Service to Service 53/M. By Implementing a New Service called 71M , Service 53 could be Amended to Bidadari ITH and Then Service 71M could Cover 53’s Route from Bishan Int to Serangoon as a Loop Service so That Frequented Residents Who Take Service 71 will not Complain about The Amendment of Service 71.
My Suggestion :
44 : Bidadari ITH – Tampines North ITH [D1]
53 : Bidadari ITH – Changi Airport [Loop]
104 : Bidadari ITH – Hougang Ctrl Int [D1]
108 : Bidadari ITH – Bukit Merah Int [D1]
144 : Serangoon ITH – Bidadari ITH [Loop]
149 : Bidadari ITH – Clementi Int [D2]
152 : Buangkok ITH – Bidadari ITH [Loop]
311 : Bidadari ITH – Bartley Walk [Loop] | 311A : Bidadari ITH – Bartley Rd
312 : Bidadari ITH – Upper Serangoon Rd [Loop] | 312M : Bidadari ITH – Bartley Rd East [Loop]
313 : Bidadari ITH – Potong Pasir Ave 1 [Loop]
500 : Bidadari Park Drive – Central Boulevard [D1]
why would you even plan this service in the first place
1. sv 44 (doubt would even have this number due to the sound)
2. sv 53 no need to amend, this service is ok with no need to amend
3.sv 144 (doubt would even have this number due to the sound) what is the point when they are so near apart
4. why would you create feeder service when is not neccessary at all
5. 500, no point
