Woodleigh Bus Interchange is a future Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) located at Bidadari, serving residential areas around Bidadari, Joo Seng and Potong Pasir.
The interchange is the first air-conditioned underground bus interchange to be built beneath public housing flats. It forms part of the HDB Woodleigh Village mixed-use development, offering 330 Build-to-Order (BTO) flats, a hawker centre, retail shops and other community amenities.
Plans for the interchange were confirmed in September 2014, and the interchange was then initially expected to be ready by 2019. Following construction delays, the interchange is expected to be completed by end-2024, and an opening date has yet to be announced.

Rail connections are offered via Woodleigh MRT Station along the North East Line, allowing for convenient transfers between bus services at the rail network.
Interchange Layout
Located at Basement 2 of Woodleigh Village, it is the first underground air-conditioned bus interchange below Housing Board Flats in Singapore.
An indicative layout plan of Woodleigh Bus Interchange reveals a bus park with 18 bus lots—15 rigid bus lots and 3 articulated bus lots. Buses enter and exit the interchange via a combined entrance/exit leading to Bidadari Park Drive.
The passenger concourse features three sawtooth boarding berths and a linear alighting berth with space for 2 buses. In provisioning for articulated bus operations, one boarding berth and one alighting berth are designed to accommodate 18-metre-long buses.
Underground passageways connect the interchange concourse with both The Woodleigh Mall and Woodleigh MRT Station.

Brief History:
Plans for Woodleigh Bus Interchange were first revealed in a Straits Times article back in September 2014, referencing design briefs issued by the Housing & Development Board (HDB). The interchange would be built underneath HDB flats, as part of an integrated transport, commercial and residential project that will form the estate’s town centre. The interchange was then slated for completion in 2019.
The interchange would be sited within the HDB Woodleigh Village, an integrated development comprising 3 residential blocks totalling 330 residential units, a hawker centre, (Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre), a childcare centre, a Residents’ Committee, and other future community amenities. The interchange site is bordered by Upper Serangoon Road to the west; Woodleigh Link to the north; Bidadari Park Drive to the east; and Heritage Walk (former Upper Aljunied Road) to the south.
In February 2024, a Straits Times article reported that the interchange was expected to be completed in end-2024, representing a delay of five years; this was revised to a three-year delay following a clarification from the HDB, which stated that the project was due for completion in 2021 based on the construction contract that was eventually awarded. HDB attributed the delays to “significant engineering challenges” and the COVID-19 pandemic, due to the design complexity of integrating the bus interchange, hawker centre and MRT station, and extensive work needed to skirt or divert around underground utilities.
Renaming:
The interchange was previously called Bidadari Bus Interchange, as referenced within the Land Transport Master Plan 2040 and exit directory signages at Woodleigh MRT station (as of May 2023).
The interchange was renamed to Woodleigh ITH sometime in late 2023. This is referenced in the LTA travel guide for the HDB Alkaff Breeze BTO project (Link), and the launch poster for Bus Service 146 released in January 2024.

I hope bus 154 will be shortened to Bidadari and gain control under BRBP again like during the early 2000s to 2014.
