Yishun MRT Station (NS13) is an above-ground station along the North South Line (NSL). It is located next to Yishun Avenue 2, near the road junction with Yishun Central and Yishun Avenue 1.

The area now known as Yishun was formerly known as Nee Soon, and was named after Lim Nee Soon, a rubber and pineapple magnate who owned plantations in the area. The station was opened in December 1988 and was the terminus of the North South Line until February 1996, when the Woodlands Extension opened to Choa Chu Kang.

The station is a transport node for residents of Yishun New Town, serving adjacent shopping malls (Northpoint City), community amenities (Yishun Polyclinic, Nee Soon East Community Centre, etc.), as well as schools and housing developments. Bus services are offered from Yishun Bus Interchange, which connect to other parts of the estate.

Exits

Yishun MRT station has four exits at ground level (A, B, C and D) and an underground Exit E which leads to an underpass underneath Yishun Avenue 2, linking to Basement 2 of Northpoint City (North Wing). A second underpass to Northpoint City (named Northpoint Link) can be accessed via escalators and a lift at Exit D leads to Basement 2 of Northpoint City (South Wing).

Passengers heading to Yishun Bus Interchange can use Exit D to reach the interchange.
