Mount Pleasant Integrated Transport Hub

Mount Pleasant Integrated Transport Hub is a future bus interchange planned to serve the upcoming Mount Pleasant housing estate.

The interchange is intended to be developed as part of a future neighbourhood centre within the estate. It will feature a direct connection to Mount Pleasant MRT Station along the Thomson-East Coast Line.

Plans

Plans for a new bus interchange at Mount Pleasant were first referenced in an HDB sales brochure for the Mount Pleasant Crest Build‑to‑Order (BTO) project, which was launched in October 2025.

Earlier indications of a neighbourhood centre at Mount Pleasant were also showcased during the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s (URA) My City, My Home Exhibition held in late 2023.

According to the URA Master Plan 2025, the neighbourhood centre is likely to form part of an integrated commercial and residential development. The site is expected to be located adjacent to the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) and is currently marked as “subject to detailed planning” under the Master Plan. This proposed location also sits directly across the road from the Mount Pleasant Crest BTO development—just as referenced in the HDB sales brochure.

    Woohoo! It’s a real miracle
Without this ITH, the only bus service this estate would have gotten is a 142/148 style loop service to at most the neighbouring towns (Toa Payoh & Bishan)
Now there are more opportunities for bus services to more places further away such as the City

(I can already see some commenters talking about shifting some svcs from Bishan & TPY, or talking about 132 and 230 😜)
