Bus Services

Singapore’s public buses are run by four bus operators (SBS Transit, SMRT Buses, Tower Transit, Go-Ahead Singapore), offering affordable and convenient transport all round the island. Private bus operators offer City Direct, Premium and Free Shuttle Buses as an alternate means of travelling around.

Officers, Firstly Kudos to the Bus Drivers, they have given their best to Singapore tranportation services.
Just a point to make during this Convid 19 time. I notice them when I was taking a Bus at AMK bus near the MRT last friday 8 October 2021
Timing about 8.30 am to 9.15am . Few of the drivers had to get off their driver seat to serve the handicapped, placing the platform for the wheel chairs to roll in. Few times they had to roll in as the passenger wheel chair as the passenger travel alone without a helper. The driver then hurriedly return to the steering wheel to start as the buses are already forming a queue.

Driver helping the wheel chair of handicapped. (Hands exposed to the arms of wheelchair) Platform is naturally dusty .
Driver goes back to steering wheel perspiring after the assistance.
Driver use his hand to swipe off his perspiration on his face.
Driver then holds his steering wheel without any wipes after helping the handicapped.
Driver is exposed – Infection can come from the wheel chair and platform exposed

    Just a thought
Hope they can protect themselves with some antiseptic wipes.

Can someone add 883A to the Withdrawn Bus Services list? The 883A listing seems to have been removed from MyTransport.sg.

883A only operates on New Year’s Eve, when last train operates until 1.15am leaving City Hall. All other days, it does not operate.

I don’t understand why some bus services are introduced by another operator when the anchor operator of the bus package is not the operator of the bus service (e.g 110 in Sengkang Hougang bus package but operated by SMRT). Is it a purposeful accident? Is it because they know what is the future operator for the bus service’s package? Please, I don’t want to see this kind of nonsense anymore.

Switheroo of operators: 974 & 944. Bus 974 should serve Bukit Panjang Integrated Transport Hub.
