Most likely will be shortened to either Shenton Way or Harbourfront in future…

Please can we petition for a Service 10A that goes from Our Tampines Hub to Bayshore MRT during the morning peak?
There is much proof, word & pictures, from a friend that Service 10 receives extremely high demand around 6:30am to 8am due to the large amount of school students that travel from Tampines to schools in Bedok South. I understand that operational drawbacks prevent the full route from receiving large scale frequency upgrades, however the fact that Service 10 constantly experiences “drop duty” and silent downgrades in the morning means the existing student crowding only gets worse. This goes to the point where “failboarding” occurs, where some people cannot board the bus due to the bus being at max capacity. Take note that in all instances they happen on SD, since certain slots on Service 10 constantly downgrades without warning from DD to SD in the morning.
If the option of DD isn’t suitable (which apparently it isn’t), may I suggest redirecting resources to a Service 10A. Hearsay is that 10e will eventually be withdrawn, which makes it easy to reallocate BC to 10A, better improving reliability for the particular sector between Tampines & East Coast.
Hopefully this can be a reality.

Bus 10 might be amended following CCL stage 6. Already served by CCL in the central area. Maybe loop at North Canal Rd from Kent Ridge Terminal. 10e will be withdrawn. 10 may serve full single-deck fleet.

You cannot cut away the special link between Tampines and East Coast, plus the Dakota and East Coast link. Those are Service 10 highest demand sectors, excluding East Coast-CBD which is obvious.
As per current plans, 10 will likely cut to either Shenton Way Ter or to HarbourFront. This is only to remove the West Coast sector due to duplication with CCL resulting in low demand.
The plans for 10e is withdrawal but I hope that changes since 10e doesn’t really touch TEL, and actually gets demand unlike 196e (after TEL) and 14e (which barely gets demand nowadays).

For TEL4 rationalisation Service 10 may be in danger since its prioritised demand area is the East Coast. The most in danger is 10e as well. I think if want to retain the link to Tampines, just allow 10 to travel along ECP via Still Rd South, then travel on Xilin Ave.

I agree. From tampines to suntec there is 518 and take downtown mrt line. From tampines to the financial district can take 513, downtown mrt line, east west mrt line.
