Bus Service 457 enhances connectivity for commuters travelling between Hougang and Tai Seng MRT Stations during weekday peak hours. Within Hougang, the service calls at stops along Hougang Avenue 5 and 7.
It is a quicker alternative between Hougang and Tai Seng as compared to Bus Service 151, although Service 457 stops only at Tai Seng MRT Station, while Service 151 serves Airport Road. Service 457 plies express between Hougang Ave 7 and Tai Seng MRT, via Tampines Rd, KPE, and Airport Rd.
This limited-stop service is introduced under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP). Bus Services 457, 458, and 459 are the first tranche of peak-period limited-stop services to serve the Tai Seng Industrial Area, connecting it with housing estates in the Northeast.
Travel Smart Journeys
This bus service is part of the latest Travel Smart Journeys – North-East Line Scheme, starting at launch (23 March 2026). This scheme incentivises North-East commuters to switch from the North East Line (NEL) to alternative bus routes, to ease congestion.
Registered commuters on the SimplyGo app can earn cashback in the form of e-transport vouchers by boarding & alighting at designated stops during Morning Peak hours.

Pundeh Andrew Siow should just introduce full day express svc from Buangkok via Sengkang and Punggol via Sengkang to the city rather than introduce more rubbish CD svc.
Yoo that was exactly what I thought but with a different idea, I was thinking to combine CDS 673 and part of 666 into a full day bus route from Punggol Coast ITH to Marina Centre Bus Terminal which would be numbered as either 108 or 126. So the logic behind this service is firstly Punggol Coast and and the CBD’s central role, mainly as Punggol Coast is home to the Punggol Digital District and therefore nicknamed by many as the Silicon Valley of SG, it is very important to link these 2 hubs together considering the CBD has some large companies that also have setup base in Punggol. So therefore it will play a crucial role to link both of these job hubs. Secondly why I chose 673 and 666 to be the combo mixed, is also because 673’s starting point is the closest to Punggol Coast ITH, and therefore to have it extended would be less of a hassle, and why 666, mainly as I plan for it to serve the Punggol Field area and parts of the Punggol East area before heading down to Sengkang East Drive and then KPE all the way to MCE before exiting onto Anson Road and serving it’s first few bus stops in the, and then follow the same route as 673 and 666 but instead of heading straight to Suntec, it will turn onto Raffles Boulevard then go along, Eu Tong Sen Street then Victoria Street then Lavender street before turning into the road leading to Marina Centre bus terminal, and when Kallang Bus Interchange opens, with BCEP, it could be extended there. And therefore it will serve as another alternative to the overly crowded North East Line and will finally bring travellers some relief and more than one alternative.
Some of you may say that it will not bring much profit, but if we were to take into consideration the travel times to at least be comparable to the NEL and the fact that it serves an expanded list of high demand destinations that is often visited, it will definitely grow a lot of demand considering it has been a highly requested service among those in Punggol. It is also possible for the service to push slightly down to Sengkang and exit to KPE, depending on whether there is demand or so.
I mean overall this is my suggestion for the services that I really wish for so, I really am planning to write it out to the MPs and LTA. However these are just my suggestions do critcise or contribute to this comment however you wish👍
You must be GA loyal fan
I mean as a Punggol North Resident, I am kind of disappointed at the fact that despite having GA, Punggol after now 23 years still do not have a route to the city centre that runs all day. I am quite pleased with GA but I really hope they do better than that, especially once they take over the Tampines Bus Package
At least Loyang only Go Ahead buses Bulim with SBST 4 bus service somemore… But lucky TTS good in flip prata bus deployment.. One bus can do 3 4 svc in a day… Until buses also tired
when will 457, 458 and 459 introduced? and when the Punggol North ave 2 pair of bus stops will have more trunk or express services??
when released?
Sengkang-Hougang and Bulim will be burst soon.. Haven’t include 110 in future. 96 and Clementi feeders should transfer to Clementi sooner temporary under Ulu Pandan.
also Loyang package pretty busy now.
