Bus Service 458 enhances connectivity for commuters travelling between Sengkang and Tai Seng MRT Stations during weekday peak hours. Within Sengkang, the service calls at stops along Sengkang East Way and Rivervale Drive, thereby also serving Bakau and Kangkar LRT stations.

The service plies express between Rivervale Dr and Tai Seng MRT, via Sengkang East Ave, Sengkang East Dr, Buangkok East Dr, KPE, and Airport Rd.

This limited-stop service is introduced under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP). Bus Services 457, 458, and 459 are the first tranche of peak-period limited-stop services to serve the Tai Seng Industrial Area, connecting it with housing estates in the Northeast.

Travel Smart Journeys

This bus service is part of the latest Travel Smart Journeys – North-East Line Scheme, starting at launch (23 March 2026). This scheme incentivises North-East commuters to switch from the North East Line (NEL) to alternative bus routes, to ease congestion.

Registered commuters on the SimplyGo app can earn cashback in the form of e-transport vouchers by boarding & alighting at designated stops during Morning Peak hours.

80X but not 80X, oh wells.

Would SBST lease more buses for these, or just take from existing fleet and then make other services even more unreliable?

P.S am talking about how 114 extension, 4 new CDS didn’t get any new fleet, yet SBST still transferring out assets to other depots when other depots gets new services.

I.e. the taros and A22 from SWDEP getting thrown in BNDEP when BND already had bigger amount of spare assets to begin with. Anyways, seems like SBST loves BN more than other depots. Deserve it for them to lose tampines. Hope they lose more of their existing packages. Other depots like HGDEP, SWDEP, BBDEP drown of thirst.

Should be an alt for 109, 159, 161 but skip Sengkang East Road stops. Go straight on HG Ave 4 then HG CTRL then Upp S’goon Rd, follow 80 to Tai Seng.

that is why they need 457 and 458, if not very hard to decentralise CBD. food is very expensive.
