Until now,The stingy TTS still haven’t lease any buses for 871..
Apparently TTS has leased tons of citaro for 871, not confirmed to be true but heard rumours…
There’s only 1 Citaro left in storage..
So far only SG1041M & SG1695B as Citaro lease fee is 30% more cheaper than A22.

Ignore the comment above. Actually, it was confirmed after all. SBS6567T, SG1005T, SG1006R, SG1027E, SG1041M, SG1188Z & SG1695B all transferred to TTS. SG1005T & SG1006R back to old home.

I recommend that this Bus Service 871 cannot have Double Decker buses and must have a Single Decker buses such as MAN A22 Euro 5 Buses.
Good question because of Street 52. But however, I expect Service 871 demand to be as high as terrible in the near future. But I do believe that Tengah may introduce more services than just this. Nevertheless, is too early to think.
In Tower Transit forms, any single decker buses can be deployed on Service 871 (mostly MAN A22 Euro 5 or CITARO), as long is within BUDEP territory.
Service 871 need DDs la if not how you manage the tengah crowd everyday? Use your brain instead of recommending some fantasy dream
I suspect possible height restriction along the route.
Is it somewhere 945 plies?
Yes. Because of the mrt track right above part of the route, and unlike other roads with mrt track above it, it’s actually quite dangerous to have a double decker there since the route there are quite narrow. I lived along the 945 route btw.
If 945 never ran double decker before, I doubt 871 will.
Some improvements that can be made:
The connection to Beauty World MRT: could have taken the other route to connect with the other exit, which is much nearer to the MRT fare gate. Also enable this bus service to connect to Bukit Timah Hill, whereby Tengah residents can get close to nature.
The connection to Bukit Gombak MRT: I think it’s more for the stadium, so that Tengah residents got a running stadium to run. They don’t really need connection to Bukit Gombak MRT because already got connection to Bukit Batok MRT (right to the doorstep at Bukit Batok Bus Interchange, which is just next to the MRT station). They mentioning Bukit Gombak MRT is just to ensure geographical accuracy. But naturally, Tengah residents will still take 992 to Bukit Batok MRT.
What i can predict is TTS will lease at least 4 E6 A22 and a couple more E5 A22.
