Bus Service 871 was introduced to offer more public transport options to residents of Tengah new town. It provides full-day bus connections to Bukit Batok West, Bukit Gombak, and Beauty World, serving existing schools and community amenities, as well as connections to the MRT network via Beauty World MRT Station along the Downtown Line. This service also serves the vicinity of Bukit Gombak MRT Station via a pair of bus stops along Bukit Batok East Avenue 5.
A faster alternative between Tengah town and Beauty World MRT Station during weekday morning and evening peak hours is Service 452.

Passengers are sitting long distance. why are there no double deckers. such poor ridership. would be a flop once frequency drops too
Bt Batok Ave 5 and St 52 are supposedly to small to support DDs
Bus 871 route super super delayed…if u missed 1 bus in the morning, while people buay go work, send kids to school, u have to wait almost 15 mins to 20mins for next bus!!! I can say its hilarious in the morning have to wait so long to get another. Hope they will improve the quality very soon…so tiring of staying in tengah with no easy access……..
In future peak hours will be 9-11 mins and too bad this service can’t get double decker.
