Cross Border Bus Service AC7 connects Yishun, Sembawang Rd, Sembawang MRT, Woodlands Ave 9 and Marsiling to Sultan Iskandar CIQ, the customs checkpoint in Johor Bahru.

Starting from Yishun Bus Interchange, AC7 duplicates the route of Bus Service 858 up to Woodlands Ave 9, serving Chong Pang, Sembawang Rd (Sembawang Shopping Centre), Sembawang MRT, Woodlands Ave 7 & Gambas Ave (near Seagate and Woodlands Loop).

It then continues west along Woodlands Ave 9/Riverside Rd/Admiralty Rd, serving Republic Polytechnic and housing/industrial estates around Marsiling before crossing the border to Johor Bahru.

Cross-Border Procedures

Due to varying traffic conditions at the Causeway, journey times and frequencies may increase significantly when jams occur. At each checkpoint, passengers have to alight and clear customs before boarding the bus again. Upon reboarding, passengers will be required to show proof of payment (issued receipt).

Brief Route History

Introduced on Wednesday, 15 December 2010 and operated by Advance Coach, the service was initiated as part of a bilateral Singapore & Malaysia agreement to improve transit links between both countries. Formerly terminating at Kotaraya II Terminal, it was shortened to JB CIQ following the closure of the terminal in November 2014.

Advance Coach operated the service with high-floor Yutong ZK6118HGA city buses in a purple livery. From 18 March 2020, the service was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the accompanying Malaysia Movement Control Order. While most public bus services resumed on 1 May 2022, Bus Service AC7 only resumed operations on 19 May 2022, this time operated by Ridewell Travel using 6 units of low-floor Yutong ZK6126HGA city buses.

In 2024, Yutong ZK6116HE coaches also started operating on this service with fare collection equipment and cross-border licensing.

I don’t know what the driver trying by parking. I have no comment. I’m hoping there’s changes in driver services as we’repassenges are paying for bus fares so kindly respect each others. Incident was happened at 06.06am at SG custom. Pls consider the fare which driver asked with passengers.b

Extend it to JB sentral ter, improve its frequency and renumber it to bus 850 under Sembawang yishun pacakge and let it be operated by tts. Then 850E renumber to CDS 658

Impossible. 850 should be trunk version of 850E, and CDS 658 should be reinstated along its original route and operated by SBST under HGDEP Serangoon Eunos

Today I’m very disappointed on the bus service AC7, I pressed the bell before the busstop and that distance is enough for him to react but he just drive pass the busstop. I approach him, I ask why didn’t u stop , he reply me (I must press before the busstop) I reply to him : I did that, but he shout at me and say “NO LAR”. anyway I was aligned at another busstop and had to walk a distance back to my destination. I deeply disappointed on the diver manner and services.

Yesterday around 7:30pm to 7:45pm, I took AC7 from SG Custom to JB CIQ. The driver was an Indian guy, tall and with cap. This was my second time that AC7 bus card reader not in use and the driver collect cash from all passengers. Yesterday was the same and all passengers are required to pay SGD2.00 when there is note written RM3.00 cash can be paid. When I gave the driver the cash RM3.00, he said Madam SGD2.00. I told him but its written RM3.00 can be paid. His respond was “I am in charged and this is my order”. “If you are not happy you can get down from the bus”. “This is not Public Bus, this is Private Bus”.
Who gave him the right to talk this way? The company?

Why the machine to collect the cash and generate the tickets are not used?
Why the driver collecting the cash in their hand and not even issuing a ticket?
Who gave the right to the driver to take his own decision and behaving like rowdy to the passengers?

I don’t know how to reach the company. If anyone has the contact number or email address, please share it to me.
